The Topper World Championships, held at the Cork Royal Yacht Club in the final week of July 2023, was an unforgettable event and a standout project for us in terms of event photography and video production. The championship brought together top sailing talent from around the world, creating a dynamic and exciting atmosphere on the waters of Cork.
We were approached by Jenny, representing the event sponsor, Topper Technology, a cutting-edge internal software solution designed for small businesses. She engaged us to create a highlight video of the day and capture high-quality event photography to be used in promotional material for future campaigns.
Covering this event was a truly remarkable experience. The day presented an incredible opportunity to showcase the action and energy of the races. To get the best shots, we were fortunate to be brought out on one of the yachts and a high-speed rib, allowing us to capture up-close footage of the competitors in action. The close proximity to the races added a dynamic edge to the highlight video, while the event photography focused on candid moments, the elegance of the yachts, and the camaraderie of the participants and spectators.
This project allowed us to blend technical skill with creative storytelling, resulting in a collection of visuals that encapsulate the spirit of the Topper World Championships.
